College of Nursing Held the 2023 Nurse Medal Awarding Ceremony and Boasted a 100% Pass Rate on the Nurse Licensure Exam

College of Nursing (Dean: Younhee Kang) held the 2023 Nurse Medal Awarding Ceremony at Lee Sam Bong Hall on February 20th, Tuesday. The event was attended by 152 people, including the President of Ewha College of Nursing Alumni Association Eun Kyung Byun, Professor Emeritus Jahyung Lee, faculty members of the College of Nursing, and parents of graduating students.

간호대학, 2023학년도 간호메달수여식 개최 및 간호사 국가고시 100% 합격At the Nurse Medal Awarding Ceremony, senior nursing students recited the Nightingale Pledge to vow their love and devotion to patients, reminding themselves of a sense of duty as a nurse. Associate Dean Suk-Sun Kim hosted the event, which proceeded in the following order: greetings from Dean Younhee Kang, celebratory address by President of Ewha College of Nursing Alumni Association Eun Kyung Byun, academic report session, medal bestowal, recital of the Nightingale Pledge, and granting of certificates.간호대학, 2023학년도 간호메달수여식 개최 및 간호사 국가고시 100% 합격Dean Kang said, “I’d like to say congratulations to the class of 2024 who are graduating after four years of honing the skills and expertise as a professional nurse at Ewha Womans University.” and “I hope you never stop learning even after graduation so that you can be more open-minded for various opportunities in life as a nurse.” Following Dean Kang’s speech, professors at the College of Nursing bestowed Nurse Medals on the students to express their support for the prospective nurses.

In addition, all the eighty-nine students who took the 2024 Korean Nursing Licensing Examination on January 19th, Friday, have passed the exam, touting a pass rate of 100%.


Ewha College of Nursing has devoted ceaseless efforts to the development of nursing science in Korea: The College of Nursing introduced Korea’s first four-year undergraduate program in nursing in 1955, established the Global Health & Nursing Major in 2014, gained accreditation from the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education in 2022, and marked its 120th anniversary in 2023. Based on the Christian spirit, the College of Nursing has led the training of professional nurses with global leadership and practical skills in health improvement, prevention of diseases, health recovery, suffering alleviation, and well-being of patients. The College of Nursing has scored 4,019 graduates (Ninety-two class of 2023 members included) thus far.
