Professor Jongsu Han of College of Business Administration Is Selected as Prominent Professor by Korean Accounting Assoc

Professor Jongsu Han at Ewha’s College of Business Administration was elected as the Korean Accounting Association Samil PwC Prominent Professor (volunteer field) which is sponsored by Samil PwC (President: Youngsik Kim) and selected by Korean Accounting Association (Chairman: Seokwoo Chung).
Samil Prominent Professor of the volunteer field is chosen among incumbent professors who have demonstrated leadership for the development of the accounting industry and association. Term begins this April until March of 2021. Samil Prominent Professor Project is one of the CSR activities Samil PwC and Korean Accounting Association have implemented since 2003. It has selected and supported 25 professors so far.
Professor Jongsu Han received his doctorate at University of Pittsburgh and has been carrying out research in the field of financial accounting and auditing. He took office as the head of the Korean Accounting Association in 2018, was appointed the first-ever Korean member of the IFRS Interpretations Committee and will be serving consecutive terms until June of 2021.
IFRS Interpretations Committee interprets and establishes guidelines of the international financial reporting standards used in approximately 130 countries including Korea. The committee is comprised of 14 members and one chairman.
