Ewha Womans University Social Welfare Center received the opportunity with recommendation from Mercedes-Benz official dealer Motorone’s vice president Hyekyung Son (class of ‘80, social life major) and was ultimately selected.

Ewha alumna Hyekyung Son said “I am aware of the fact that it is difficult to access the welfare center because it is located on top of the hill. I thought this will help provide more accessibility to the elderly and people with disabilities. That is why I provided the Social Welfare Center with the opportunity.” adding that she is very delighted to find out that more people can access and use the center’s services thanks to the vehicle.

Ewha Womans University Social Welfare Center was established in 1956, supporting the socially disadvantaged for 64 years and setting an example for a private social welfare center with practice and ethical management. With the donated vehicle, the center plans to provide more welfare and medical services to the socially disadvantaged including people with disabilities.
