Ewha Womans University Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. (CEOs: Seo Jihee and Joe William; hereinafter “Ewha Technology Holdings”) has completed its registration as an Accelerator (startup planning organization) with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and is set to expand its role in the startup ecosystem.
Accelerators are specialized organizations that identify promising early-stage startups and support their growth by providing facilities, funding, mentoring, and education. Officially registered accelerators with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups are authorized not only to make direct investments but also to establish and operate venture investment funds. This qualification serves as a key competitive advantage for university technology holding companies in systematically supporting early-stage startups.
Ewha Technology Holdings has already established and operated three individual investment funds, carrying out early-stage (Seed to Pre-A) investments. In addition, it launched its proprietary incubation program, “Station Ewha,” in September 2025 and successfully graduated its first cohort. The company has also completed investments in selected outstanding teams, thereby materializing a structured incubation–investment linkage model. It is currently recruiting participants for the second cohort in 2026, further expanding its efforts to discover and nurture startup teams.
Seo Jihee, CEO of Ewha Technology Holdings, stated, “We will faithfully fulfill our role as a catalyst so that Ewha’s innovative technologies can create social value and grow into globally competitive enterprises.”
