Holding the Unveiling Ceremony for the Refurbished Ewha Donors Wall

Ewha refurbished the “Ewha Donors Wall” to honor the spirit of sharing shown by donors and held the unveiling ceremony for the refurbishment on April 13 (Wed.).

The Ewha Donors Wall in the Multipurpose Hall on the fourth basement floor of the ECC is a commemorative space reserved for documenting all donors who contributed to Ewha’s growth in one place. At the unveiling ceremony for the refurbishment of the Ewha Donors Wall, nine years after it was first established in 2013, the attendance of around 50 guests including Board of Trustees Chairperson Chang Myong-sue, key administrative faculty members including President Eun Mee Kim and major donors recently recorded on the Analogue Wall added further eminence to the occasion.

President Eun Mee Kim remarked in her congratulatory address, “The Ewha Donors Wall was designed in a three-dimensional form utilizing the ceiling, and it has now been reborn as a beautiful sculpture symbolizing the growth of meaningful donations and the spirit of Ewha. I expect that the introduction of a donation kiosk will contribute to promoting a new culture of giving,” and expressed her gratitude by saying, “I am very grateful for your prayers and support for today’s Ewha, and I pledge to dedicate my utmost efforts to build a proud Ewha that all of our donors can feel a sense of reward and pride as members of the Ewha community, by growing Ewha into an even more profound and outstanding cradle for women’s education.”

The Office of University Relations and Development promoted this project to shed new light on the spirit of sharing and the culture of giving by strengthening the content and function of the Ewha Donors Wall, which was newly reborn through the refurbishment including a change of Digital Wall content, expansion of Analogue Wall space and installation of a donation kiosk with a credit card payment function.

Vice President Hye Sun Lee of the Office of University Relations and Development commented, “I hope that the refurbishment of the Ewha Donors Wall after nine years since its opening will provide a space to honor our donors and remind us of the meaning of sharing,” and added, “In addition, I would like a new culture of giving to blossom within Ewha and the joy of giving to be spread among many as opportunities to participate in donations are expanded through the new donation kiosk with a credit card payment function.”
