Hosting the College Experience Program “Fly to Your Dreams with Ewha”
The Office of Admissions hosted the online event “Fly to Your Dreams with Ewha” on December 20 (Mon.), in which successful candidates of early admissions for 2022 entry were given the opportunity to experience college life in advance.
The participants of the 2022 Fly to Your Dreams with Ewha program were recruited from among all soon-to-be Ewhaians who were initially accepted via early admissions tracks this year, with 320 prospective college students in attendance on the day.
In her welcome speech, Dean Donghee Shin from the Office of Admissions greeted prospective college students who will become members of Ewha, saying “Ewha Womans University has always stood at the forefront of each era and now seeks to establish a new vision of ‘A Creative and Innovative Platform Leading to a Sustainable Society’ to nurture talented female professionals with creative convergence capabilities through the establishment of majors related to cutting-edge technologies and the development of future-oriented education programs.” She also pledged, “Based on Ewha’s spirit of service and sharing, in combination with the knowhow accumulated by fostering talented individuals, Ewha will actively support your future and dreams.”
In the following “Preview of College Lectures” event prepared under the special theme of AI and the Metaverse, Prof. Hyung-Gon Park (Electronic Engineering) of the ELTEC College of Engineering gave a lecture titled “In the ‘With AI’ era: What Should I Do, and How?” and Prof. Hye Won Han (Content Convergence) of the College of Science and Industry Convergence gave a lecture titled “Digital Storytelling in the Metaverse Era.”
The last session of the program, “Ewha’s Story Told by Ewha Members,” featured each of Ewha’s 13 colleges in order for prospective students to personally communicate with Ewha members.
Fly to Your Dreams with Ewha, which marks its 11th anniversary this year, receives a warm reception each year from soon-to-be Ewhaians, as it provides successful admissions candidates with an opportunity to experience college life before entering the school and receive useful advice by meeting professors and senior students.
