Student Service Holds “Cheerful Ewha Sarang” Event
“Cheerful Ewha Sarang,” a special event to encourage Ewha students, took place on Tuesday, December 14 at reading rooms of the University Library and the Ewha Campus Complex (ECC).
The Ewha Student Services team held the two events of “Fulfilling Ewha Sarang” to serve snacks to students as they prepare for their midterm exams and “Cheerful Ewha Sarang” to provide them with cookies for their final exams.
In this semester, cookie boxes were delivered to 870 seats in the reading rooms of the ECC and the University Library. The cookie boxes contained cookies from WeCanCookies, a social enterprise helping the disabled to participate in society. The cookie boxes have become a regular favorite among Ewha students, as they are made of organic fair-trade ingredients and raise awareness toward value-conscious consumption in amazing to their outstanding taste and quality. Ewha’s social media post to promote the snack events was positively received by students, gaining around 3,000 likes and 80 comments.
In addition, President Kim Eun Mee encouraged Ewha students who did their best despite the difficult situation of COVID-19 in a card message that read, “As we approach the end of 2021, I wish you all a healthy and joyful end to the year, as well as a blessed Christmas and a happy new year full of hope.”
